Asia Pacific Dance Competition in Jeju(English Version)

● Purpose of the Event: To provide a diverse dance art experience for children, teenagers, and the general public who love dance, and to offer opportunities for performance and creative growth for professional dancers. The competition also aims to revitalize dance activities in the Jeju region and promote international cultural exchange through the art of dance. 

● Organizers: Jeju International Dance Festival Organizing Committee, K-Global Ballet Institute 

● Hosted by: Jeju Asia-Pacific International Dance Competition Operations Committee 

● Event Dates: July 23 (Wed) – July 27 (Sun), 2025 

-Contemprary Dance: July 23 (Wed), from 9:00 AM 

-Balle(t: July 26 (Sat), from 9:00 AM 

-Open Dance: July 27 (Sun), from 10:00 AM 

● Venue: Seolmundae Women’s Culture Center, Jeju 12, Seondeok-ro 8-gil, Jeju-si, Jeju-do, Republic of Korea

■ Categories: - Ballet (Classical,Contemporary Ballet) - Contemporary Dance - Open Dance (Adult Ballet, Folk Dance, K-pop, Street Dance, Latin, Swing, Tango, Salsa)

■ Divisions: *For Ballet, Contemporary Dance. -Pre-Junior 1: Born in 2017–2019 -Pre-Junior 2: Born in 2015–2016 -Pre-Junior 3: Born in 2013–2014 -Junior 1: Born in 2011–2012 -Junior 2: Born in 2010 -Senior 1: Born in 2008–2009 -Senior 2: Born in 2007 -Pre-professional: Born before 2006~ -Open Category (for Open Dance only) 

■ Application Period: May 12 – July 4, 2025 

■ Performance Duration: Maximum 2 minutes 30 seconds for all categories 

■ Judging Criteria: Comprehensive evaluation based on artistry, technique, and expression by a panel of domestic and international dance experts. 

■ Awards: - Grand Prize - Excellence Award - Gold - Silver - Bronze, - Special Awards for each division 

■ Participation Fee (includes handling fee): Individual: USD 80 Group (Open Dance only): USD 110 Adult Ballet Workshop: USD 40 

■ Results Announcement: Will be published on the official website Certificates will be sent by post. Please make sure to provide the correct mailing address. 


Important Notes for the Competition

 1. A section of the audience seating will be open during each performance. (This is subject to change.) 

2. The organizers are not responsible for any injuries or lost items. 

3. Participants must not enter other buildings outside the competition venue. 

4. Personal recording or filming inside the venue is strictly prohibited. 

5. Accompanying persons may watch from the audience seats. 

6. Props may be used if:They can be carried by the participant alone They do not damage the stage They do not obstruct other participants 

7. Hair and makeup are free choice, but makeup is not allowed inside the building. (No personal rest areas may be set up inside the venue.)

8. Participation fees are non-refundable once payment is made. 

9. If payment is not received within 7 days of registration, the application will be canceled. (However, payments must be completed before the registration deadline.) 

10. After remittance, please send participant name and payment amount to the official email. Confirmation will be sent via email.

Participant Guidelines

1. Entry fees and submitted documents are non-refundable. 

2. Music must be submitted in MP3 format with backup on USB. 

*File name format: Division_EntryNumber_ParticipantName 

*Suggestion: Leave 2–4 seconds of silence at the beginning 

*Submitted audio cannot be changed 

*USB must contain only one music file and be labeled with name and number 

*The organizers are not responsible for file errors

3. Submitted application information cannot be changed. *Make sure all information is correct before submitting and paying. *Participants are responsible for any errors in their applications. 

4. All participants must arrive on time at the designated location. Late arrivals may be denied entry.

 5. Participants must bring ID (e.g., passport) and competition pass for verification.

 6. Any false information will result in disqualification. 

7. No refunds for schedule changes made by the organizers.
